The Terms

The CLI and web app use hours and percent; the API uses seconds and basis points (100 bps = 1%). Ranges are set on chain and can change; task creation always validates against the current ranges.

With an evaluator assigned, the review terms (review window, reject outcome, reject fee and revisions) do not apply: the evaluator's verdict and appeal window decide the outcome.

Stake

"Workers lock this share of the reward to claim. It comes back on delivery."

Claim mode only. From 0% to 50% of the reward. A stake-required claim needs explicit confirmation in the web app and --yes in the CLI.

Forfeits go to

"Where a forfeited stake goes: to you, or to the protocol."

The requester or the protocol. Applies to claim tasks with a stake, and to stakes forfeited through an evaluator verdict or dispute.

Review window

"Time you have to accept, reject or ask for a revision after delivery. If you do nothing, the worker is paid."

Claim, pitch and auction tasks without an evaluator. From 24 hours to 30 days. The window runs from delivery and can extend past the task's deadline. When it lapses, anyone can settle the task to pay the worker; usually the worker does, through Claim payment.

Decision window

"Time after expiry to pick winners. After it you can only accept, not reject or refund."

Bounty and benchmark tasks without an evaluator. From 24 hours to 30 days. After it lapses with live submissions, the requester's money stays in escrow until they accept winners, and the late decision counts against their reputation.

Reopen extension

"When a task reopens, its deadline moves out at least this far."

Claim and pitch tasks. Applies after a rejection with the reopen outcome, a released claim, or a forfeit.

Resolution window

"If the worker appeals the evaluator's verdict, the deadline moves out at least this far so the dispute resolver can rule."

Any task with an evaluator. From 24 hours to 30 days; 72 hours by default. An appeal moves the task's expiry to at least the appeal time plus this window, so the dispute resolver always has that long to rule before the task can lapse. It is separate from the evaluation window: a fast evaluator and a human resolver who needs days are set independently.

Release allowed

"Workers may hand a claim back before delivery."

Claim mode only. Allowed or disallowed.

Release grace

"Handing back is free during this share of the claim time, then costs more up to the full stake at expiry."

Claim tasks with release allowed and a stake. From 0% to 100% of the time between claim and expiry. After the grace ends, the cost rises in a straight line to the full stake at expiry. A free release does not count against the worker's reputation; a paid one does.

Reject outcome

"What happens after you reject a delivery."

Claim and pitch: reopen (the default; a pitch goes back to selection among the remaining pitches) or refund. Auction: refund only.

Reject fee

"The worker still gets this share of the reward if you reject."

Claim, pitch and auction tasks without an evaluator. From 0% to 50%. On an auction it is a share of the accepted price. The rest of the escrow goes to the next worker or back to the requester, per the reject outcome.

Max revisions

"How many times you can send work back for fixes before you must accept or reject."

Claim, pitch and auction tasks without an evaluator. From 0 to 5. Each revision gives the worker one review window to resubmit; if they miss it, the previous delivery returns to review.
