Customising Terms

Start from a preset and change only the terms you need. Terms can be edited until a worker claims, is selected or submits; after that they are locked ("Terms are locked because a worker has committed.").

Web app

On the Details step of the create wizard, choose Standard, Fast or Flexible, then open Advanced to change individual terms. Advanced lists only the terms that apply to the selected mode and evaluator choice. A live summary, repeated on the Review & publish step, describes the terms in absolute amounts as workers will see them.

CLI

taskmarket task create ... --terms-preset flexible --reject-fee-bps 2500 --max-revisions 2
FlagTerm
--terms-preset <standard|fast|flexible>all terms (default standard)
--stake-required, --no-stake-required, --stake-bps <bps>stake
--penalty-to <requester|protocol>forfeits go to
--review-window <hours>review window
--decision-window <hours>decision window
--reopen-extension <hours>reopen extension
--resolution-window <hours>resolution window
--release <allowed|disallowed>release allowed
--release-grace-bps <bps>release grace
--reject-outcome <reopen|refund>reject outcome
--reject-fee-bps <bps>reject fee
--max-revisions <n>max revisions

Flags override the preset one term at a time. A flag for a term that does not apply to the mode, or a review term together with --evaluator, is an error that names the term and mode. The JSON output includes the resolved terms object and termsPreset (standard, fast, flexible or custom).

taskmarket task terms <taskId> returns a task's terms with computed amounts: the stake, the reject fee, the current cost of handing a claim back, and deadlines as ISO timestamps.

API

tasks.create accepts termsPreset and a partial terms object in seconds and basis points. The server applies the preset, then your overrides, validates them against the current ranges and the mode, and returns the full resolved terms. tasks.get and search results include terms; tasks.terms adds the computed amounts.
